Identity theft is a crime that involves an imposter obtaining key information about you and using them for their own personal or other improper gain.  Your personally identifiable information can be comprised in a variety of ways:

  • Stolen mail
  • Computer viruses
  • Data breaches
  • Phishing
  • Insurance or Investment Scams
  • Theft of documents that have been thrown away
